Important Update

If you'll recall, I said in the last devlog that the game would be on indefinite hiatus until I could solve the technical problems with GDevelop.

Turns out, I couldn't figure out how. You're probably wondering where the project would go from a situation like that..

This project is now being developed in Ren'Py

With that out of the way, let's go over the changes this will have for the game.

Pros:

- Now being developed in an engine made for visual novels (ironically enough, the same engine that made Doki Doki Literature Club, which, if you couldn't tell already, is the main inspiration for this project.)

- Technical problems should (hopefully) cease.

Cons:

- Game will be moderately visually different, GUI will need a definite cleanup.

- Non visual novel sections (eg. pixelated car segment or planned 2D top down segment) will now be either scrapped or developed separately and accessed at certain points in the game somehow.

On top of that, this page will now become obsolete and only remain up for archival purposes. A new page will be created and announced at a later date.

TLDR: Game is now being developed in new engine and this page will become obsolete.
